EffiGov, Inc. ("EffiGov," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the information entrusted to us by the local governments and communities we serve. This page provides a general overview of our approach to security.

This page is provided for informational purposes only. It does not form part of any contract and does not create any representation, warranty, or commitment. Any binding security obligations are set out solely in the written agreement between EffiGov and its customers; in the event of a conflict, that agreement governs.

Our Approach

We use commercially reasonable, industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we handle against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We review our practices as our business and the threat landscape evolve.

Data Protection

Our systems are designed to protect data in transit and at rest using widely adopted encryption methods, and to host data with reputable United States-based infrastructure providers.

Access Management

We seek to limit access to information to those who need it to operate and support our services, applying role-based access on a least-privilege basis together with internal access controls.

Compliance and Monitoring

We are undergoing a SOC 2 Type II examination and work to align our internal practices with recognized security standards. We maintain internal processes intended to monitor our environment on an ongoing basis.

Incident Response

We maintain internal processes intended to help us identify and respond to security incidents. Where an incident affects a customer, we intend to communicate with that customer consistent with applicable law and the terms of our written agreement with them.
